As for me …
Consistency … throughout the years, the only real consistency I had in my life involved taking care of the household and my family. Getting the kids ready for school, the usual breakfast/lunch/dinner, taking care of the dogs, outside in the garden, delivering and picking up parts for the shop, helping in the shop when needed, laundry, cleaning …. there was never really any time for me.
However things have changed. Now that I only have to account for myself, I am more consistent with my daily rituals – I have more time for my self-help. So the first thing I do in the morning, before climbing out of bed, is say the Lords prayer and give Him thanks for allowing me to open my eyes another day.
My warm glass of water before having that first cup of coffee is a must, morning stretches help with any aches and pains I may be having, a short workout depending on the day, a walk out my back door to take in the air, and then I finally grab my phone or get on the computer. I make it a point to not have my phone anywhere near me throughout the night or early morning.
These little consistencies that I’ve welcomed into my morning routine have helped me out 100%. I find my mind is clearer, I have less stress, and it’s been a great way to start my day.
